How to season cast iron cookware:
- Wash it well and dry it.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees .
- Warm the pan over low heat on the stove.
- Lightly and evenly cover the entire surface of the pan with a fresh neutral oil like corn or grape seed, there should be no excess oil.
- Bake the pan in the oven an hour and let it cool in the oven.
- It would be helpful if the first couple of uses require oil.
